Surfers Jolt Nine, 9-6, with Late Rally
Long Beach designated hitter Fernando Castillo made his presence felt in the 9-6 Surfers triumph over the Yellow Springs Nine. Castillo was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Travis Wilson, now 3-3, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. With the victory, the Surfers record now stands at 33-33.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Castillo hit a fastball from Tyson Morris for a 3-run home run. The Surfers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Castillo said, postgame.
