OOTP uses a rating system for each player. Players are rated versus Left and Right, as well as overall. The general scale is:

0 to 3	Poor
4 to 5	Fair
6 to 9	Good
10+	Brilliant

Players are rated in the following categories:

• Earned Run Average (pitchers only)
• Batting Average
• Doubles
• Triples
• Homeruns
• Strikeouts
• Walks

Player ratings change over the course of the season as injuries, age, experience and other factors affect a player's ability. The ratings shown are the player's ratings at the end of the year. It should be interesting to watch as young players develop and get better, then peak and start to decline. Salary data is also shown in order to see any relationship between it and the player's ratings or stats.
