Twins Fell Angels, 5-3
|
Anaheim right fielder Eduardo Olivarez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-3, to Minnesota at Target Field. Olivarez went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Juan Moreno, 7-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Minnesota raised its record to 85-76 with the win.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, second baseman Ed Bell came through big-time for the Twins. With Minnesota trailing 3-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Minnesota manager Akshat Singhal. "It's usually not just one thing."
